If you're shopping for a new boat, you have to stop by Talleys Pier 77 to meet Ed and Billy.  We found the exact boat we were looking for and not before we test drove several boats.  They were more than willing to drop several boats in the water so we could be sure we were buying the right boat.  Their support and customer service has been wonderful and they made us feel very comfortable that we were buying from the right place. I have had a service relationship with Talley’s Pier 77 Marine for 15 years, never purchased a boat from them.  When the time came to upgrade my 2004 Regal 2400 LSR, I began my search looking for a used 2018-2019 Regal.
As a part of my research, I wanted to see what the newer boats looked like and what improvements had been made.  It was at this moment that I drove down to Talley’s Pier 77 Marine to take a look around. As I parked at the dealership and started walking towards the boats, Ed Florentino casually came out of the office.  I thought to myself, here goes the high-pressure pitch. I quickly set the tone with Ed that I was just beginning my search and wanted to just look at the boats.  Ed offered to walk me through the models, or I could feel free to browse on my own and come to the office if I had questions.  I took Ed up on his offer and that’s when things changed.  Ed took 2 hours out of his day walking me through the new LS2, LS4, and LS6, after I had told him I wasn’t buying a new boat.  This guy loves his boats and knows these boats inside and out.  The conversation was very informative and no pressure at all.  As I was leaving, I asked Ed for his card so I could contact him with questions.  He did not try to pressure me to come and sit down in the office, as per the typical dealer experience.
Fast forward about a month of searching, researching, and analyzing the market east of the Mississippi, and I decided to purchase a new Regal LS6 that Talley’s Pier 77 Marine had on the lot.  Ed and Billy Talley were instrumental in my decision to buy a new boat.  I could have looked longer and saved a few bucks on a used boat, but the price delta in this market between used and new just made the new boat purchase make sense for our family.  We negotiated a fair price for both parties.  When you are buying a boat, the dealer is equally as important as the brand of boat.  With Talley’s Pier 77 Marine, and Regal Boats, you get the best of both.
Usually this is where the story ends.  At Talley’s Pier 77 Marine, this is where the story begins.  Ed was on vacation when I decided to purchase the boat.  Billy Talley (CEO) gave me his personal cell number and was very responsive throughout the week.  The weather last weekend was going to be in the 80s (Halloween Weekend ‘23), so I wanted to take delivery and enjoy the beautiful weather.  Billy had his crew jump on the pre-delivery checks and had the boat fully detailed in time for delivery Saturday morning.
Saturday morning, Ed rides directly up to the dock to deliver the boat and complete the orientation. My wife and I jump on the boat with Ed and we take off on the lake.  Ed drove though some maneuvering and handling exercises to show us how the boat handles.  We then pull into a cove where we completed a full stern to bow orientation including every system, switch, cubby, lever, dash, stereo, Power Tower, etc., on the boat.  There was nothing Ed didn’t know about this boat, inside and out.  We talked through winterizing as it does get cold here in Charlotte, just a very thorough orientation to the new boat.  Ed’s core belief is the more you know about the boat and the more comfortable you are operating it, the more enjoyable of an experience you will have through your boat ownership.  Ed invested about 4 hours in us to ensure we had all of the information we needed.
After the orientation, Ed took us to a marina to teach us how to properly dock the boat using the engine, and the bow thrusters that my boat has (gamechanger!).  Ed was extremely patient while teaching us how to properly dock.  He was a calming voice as tensions rose. No one wants to scuff up their brand-new boat with dock rash on day one!
Overall, the total experience from Talley’s Pier 77 Marine was exceptional.  There is a reason their office is wallpapered with Regal customer service awards.  If you are just looking, or actively purchasing a boat, go see these guys, you won’t regret it!

I recently purchased a regal boat from Talleys Pier 77 Charlotte NC  area.     Just received the boat which I am happy with.     The dealership was honorable easy to work with.      The salesman was the difference maker.     I had previously owned a cobalt which was a great boat but when it came to upgrading I ran into Ed, the Talley sales guy at the boat show.            He was helpful during the sales process but even more helpful when the boat was delivered.    He cares to educate you about the specifics of the boat.   He is a gem and I highly recommend Talleys based on Ed’s knowledge and experience and concern for having a satisfied customer.

I recently purchased a boat from Talley's Pier 77 Marine.  I  had a wonderful experience.  Billy Talley  went above and beyond what was required to educate me about the boat well beyond the final sale.  He obviously loves his job and exudes competence. We traded our boat and purchased a 28 express from Talley’s Pier 77. Ed Florentino was absolutely wonderful to work with, he new the boat inside and out and could answer all our questions. He took the time to get measurements of the boat and trailer and answered other questions we needed in a very timely manner, since we were out of state. We also worked with Billy Talley who is also a wealth of information and made trading our boat very easy. He also took time and explained some of the technical aspects of the boat. Sara Talley was very patient and researched every thing we would need since we were taking our boat to another state. She was very helpful explaining and taking care of all the paper work.
Ed and Joey Talley were amazing when we took the boat on the lake. They explained and demonstrated all the different functions of the boat from stern to bow. You can tell they are passionate and serious about boating. Working with everyone at Talley’s Pier 77 was absolutely amazing, you could’t ask for a nicer group of people to work with, they treated us like we were long time customers. Anybody who is thinking about purchasing a boat, you must start at Talley’s Pier 77 and once you are there you won’t need to go any where else.
